We are being harassed by the new management (Absolute) company that took over at Marlow Plaza. They have been posting notices on our doors indicating that the tenets owe money which they don’t, then they post notices telling us our rent had to be paid by the 2nd of the month if we pay by check after the 2nd we had to either pay my money order or cashier check. On the 2nd of February there where was a notice posted Intent to Enter stating your rent has not been paid management assume that your intention is to move out. Management will be entering your apartment on February 3rd to assess move-out damages. This is a violation to our lease stating that rent had to be paid by the 5th of each month. I always paid my rent with a personnel check I never had one bounce if they accept checks it should be up to the 5th of month not the 2nd. I paid my February’s rent with a check they held it until the 12th of the month and then put a notice on my door telling I didn’t pay rent and they gave the check back I had to go get a cashier check because they wouldn’t take my check they had a pile of notices so I know I wasn’t the only one who paid by check.
Then we are supposed to pay 60% and landlord pays 40% of utilities which we believe they are not paying any part of the utilities, everyone utilities went up $100 this month my utilities for the winter months had on a average of $79 and it just went up to $179 but no one seems to know why. And when ask why is all this going on all they say it’s come from corporate whoever they are repairs are not being done just as well. Since this company took over our lives have not been the same I don't trust these people and I don't feel comfortable with them coming in my apartment when I not home. We need some help now one will help us if you can’t help us can you direct us where we can get some help thanks.
