My mortgage was sold by Bank of America to Green Tree Servicing. I used to make my mortgage payments to Bank of America by doing a transfer of funds from my checking account to BOA, with no additional fees required. I did this for years. The first time I attempted this with Green Tree I was notified that they were going to add a $12.00 fee for this UNLESS I SIGNED UP FOR "AUTOMATIC TRANSFERS EVERY MONTH". I need to vary how I pay my bills from time to time (always on time) and BOA never charged for a 'one time' transfer.
