I ordered a refrigerator on 11/23, listed as in stock and "quick ship". This delivery was listed as "In home delivery" where the company will bring the refrigerator into one's home but not hook it up. Which was fine with me. Finally, on 12/28 the item was to be delivered. I received a call from the truck driver who had the refrigerator in a full size semi trailer without a way to get the unit off. And to top it off there was no way he could get his truck close to my house. I told him to go to a nearby gas/diesel station and I would call Appliancesconnection. After a half hour on hold I finally explained my dilemma. I told them my invoice specifically listed "in home" delivery and thats the reason for buying the unit from them. The manager at AC was very rude and said I should simply refuse the order. I said I've been waiting over a month for the fridge and not its only 2 miles from my home. And when asked about the in home delivery, he simply said there is no in home delivery in my area. I argued that point with him but he said their website says some areas are not available for this option. I said my invoice states otherwise. Again he didnt care. I hung up on him and called the driver back and told him I would meet him shortly. I drove my truck two miles to the semi and we managed to wrestle it into the back of my truck. Once home, I had the task of getting the fridge in my house with only the help of my wife. The whole experience was the worst display of customer service I have ever witnessed. There delivery service was grossly mis-represented and the so called "quick ship" was a joke.
