During my time at Camp Cascade in Lyons Oregon, I saw many things that should not be happening at a sports camp with children around.
The coaches were sleeping overnight with minor staff members on MANY occasions in the staff quarters.
The counselors hired did not supervise the kids, they were off smoking weed leaving the kids to wander the woods/property by themselves.
The kitchen staff was paid slave wages of $150/week and working 60 hours as interns while the counselors/coaches were making $800/week being waited on by the kitchen staff then trashing the accomodations.
Owners of the camp brought their kids in over the weekends and paid them cash.
Owners would bring their friends in for special events - make us work 17 days with out a day off promising bonuses then refused to pay any bonus then refused to pay us for the overtime. They actually told us that if we tried to claim overtime we would be fired.
They lied to us at every given opportunity. They claim to be christians but when you lie and cheat people it makes all christians look bad.
