I just moved here from Chicago and it's been very interesting.
On 6/2/09, I informed the leasing consultant Ursecula at The Fairways apartments in chandler that my score is below average. The leasing consultant Ursecula stated that I had not to worry because if that's the case, the screening manager Maggie will ask for an extra deposit.
Well a leasing consultant Brenda called me and stated that I will need a co-signer. I asked her what happen to the extra deposit option the leasing consultant Ursecula informed me of. Brenda stated that there is no such program or option. So I said, ok I will try to find a co-signer. But I had no luck finding a co-signer.
On 6/3/09 I drove 20 miles back to the Fairways apartments to pickup my check of the hold deposit of $100.49. I explained to the lady leasing consultant, what made me take a chance to apply for an apartment at The Fairways was, if I wasn't approved for the apartment by Fairways screening (Maggie) I had the option to place an extra deposit.
Brenda states to me sometimes the screening department will ask for an deposit, so she turns to her manager's office (Melissa) and asked her if they should contact their screening department (Maggie) to see if she would honor me the option to place an extra deposit on the apartment I applied for in which was #1385. So, the leasing manager didn't respond and Brenda asked her again and she hesitates and says yeah! Give Maggie a call.
I'm thinking sometimes!!! Lol!!! (That ways an automatic red flag that I have been had in a professional manner by The Fairways leasing consultant staff) LOL!
Brenda gave me back the check of $100.49 and stated to me i will give you a call today and let you know.
So I'm thinking wow! They got me! They charged me $81.70 for an administration fee. Commission for the administrative team!!!
And she still hasn't called me back as of 6/4/09. LOL!
Now we all know how bad the economy is at the present time, so why take advantage of people during these hard times. When people are being honest with you from the start. The Fairways staff should not lead people on to thinking they have a option of placing an extra down payment and when they really don't. If it's not written in black or white, RUN!!! During these desperate economic times we don't need that in our lives. We should be working together as a team to help the economy; each other and work together to get better. But who am I? LOL!!!
I guess like the say, NICE GUYS FINISH LAST.
But I found something in which one of my clients informed me about.
