I have lived in the Fairways apartments for 6 months now. Just about every day tehy shut off all water facilities in the complex without notice but for somehow they still have water to water the grasses in the area. I have made several complaints on this and yet nothing has been done. When we do have water most of the time there is no hot water.
When I first moved into the apartment that I am currently living in there was a big gap between the wall and the sink in one of the bathrooms, however after about 2 weeks of calling the office it was finally fixed.
On the day that I was supposed to be moving into the apartment they said that the cleaners were still cleaning, i figured no big deal came back about 3 hours later got my key and went to the room to find that there was nothing cleaned. There were crayola markings on the walls and on the vertical blinds that I also requsted to be fixed and has yet to be done even spitballs on the bathroom walls and ceiling that I finally removed myself.
Now there is cracking in the ceiling in the livingroom that I have requested to be fixed about a month ago and nothing has yet been done. Even my porch light has been out for about 2 weeks and requested to be fixed nothing has been done..
Another thing on the filth of the complex I came home if that is what you want to call it after a weekend of being gone and my porch, my kitchen and my bathroom are infested in little black ants, and that is not because my room is filthy because it is not. And I have 2 little kids one 16 months and another 5 months, which makes it not too good with ants around. I called the office and reported the ants and what a surprise nothing was done so I had to take matter into my own hands and exterminate the apartment myself for my kids sake.
Now we talk about courtesy for the people living in the apartments. Lets just say that starting on mowing the grass at 5:30 in the morning, at one time I was running late to work and going to leave and one of the Fairway employees parked their golf cart behind my car to where I could not get my car out. I tried to locate that employee and he/she could not be found so I took it into my own hands to move the cart myself. On another day just after a big storm, the wind knocked over a tree just below my room and was even blocking the stairs to my apartment, I called in and made a complaint on a friday and nothing was done till the following Tuesday causeing myself, and my at the time pregnant wife and my 1 yr. Old to have to crawl through the tree any time we wanted to go anywhere.
Aimco has thier saying "From the first day... Your at home"
not true at all. I would not recomend this apartment complex to even my worst enemy...
