I my children also are suffering from Child Support not doing their job and Franklin County Sheriff department for being neglegent. I was divorced 2003 with child support to be awarded in the amount of $840 per month. My x - Michael Dean Jett, was living with another woman whom became pregnant with his child. He never made full payments to me. We were in a chapter 13 when our divorce was granted and he was to pay 1/2 of the payments to the courts, he refused thus I lost our house. He was put in jail several times and begged the judge to let him out on work release. I found him playing house instead of working and I had him on tape to prove it. Went back to court and he did not appear so the judge put a writ of body attachment on him and contempt of court. This was in the amount of 90,000. Several months went by and he still had not paid any monies to me, he fled from Franklin County Jail in 2004 and has not been seen since. My children and I filed a missing persons report on him and mind you there was a writ of body attachment also out there. After researching the records at the sheriffs department, we found that he was located in El Paso New Mexico, only to state that he was ok. They did not bring him in. Recently I found information on where he worked, good guy, told them all that his children and I died in a car crash - we burned to death and he was starting his life over. Found an address where his mail is going in NEw Mexico but he is no there. My case is now owed $45,000. The kicker is that in order for child support to pursue felony charges on him I had to release the contempt charge on him. So now I am out $145,000. Needless to say, my case has now gone to the grand jury but still they claim that they cannot find him. Wow, my kids are now grown, paying for their college by hemselves and he does not even know that he is a grandfather. Child support in Jefferson City does not care about if and when we received money. All they say is he will be found. But I and the children are out the money and I simply am tired of the lies they tell me. People do not fall off the earth, he is around somewhere. We were married 24 years, never thought he was run from his children. My child support continues to add up every month until my son gets 22 in 3 more years. I need help in finding him and pursuing my money and help my children get justice! I even worked for the State of Missouri Dept of Social Services and could not get anything done!
