This is not a report against a company, but against a trend that is beginning in communities all across the US. I dont really understand how this was started in Las Vegas because I dont remember anyone ever asking me to vote on the matter, however most of our new communities are required to have a neighborhood association.
Myself, I would prefer a pink and purple house or a huge boat or motor home, or 5 old cars next door to me than a nosey busybody who goes around gossiping about everybody, forcing them to pay fines and even forcing old ladies and single parents out of their homes if they dont comply with all their stupid rules and or pay the imposed fines for noncompliance.
Ive been told that it is a recent law that all new home communities in Vegas are required to have a homeowners association. Im wondering if this is happening in smaller communities all over the country. I have been a homeowner for over thirty five years, here in Vegas.
I keep my yard nice and my children, now Grandchildren, and pets under control. Some of my neighbors are a little sloppy and even let their dogs run loose, however I have never had any major problems with ANY of my neighbors for which I needed to complain to a gossipy little neighborhood click, or even desired that any of my neighbors or even myself be forced to pay a fine or forced out of my home because of a few weeds or my inability to pay another monthly fee such as an unecessary, unwanted association fee.
I think that every state should file class action law suits to abolish all State mandated homeowners associations. Those among us who are that ANAL can build and create their own little natzi like communities as for the remainder of us freedom loving Americans you little condo commando types need to get off our backs and respect others rights to privacy, and freedom.
I think Neighborhood associations are just another suttle means for the powers at be to eventually get the little geeky narc types to monitor our every move. If anyone has suggestions on how to abolish this trend please speak up.
I think this is fodder for class action law suits. I sure as hell dont want to pay Miss priss and Mr geek an additional monthly fee / huge fines to complain about the weeds in my front yard when they may have a dead body in their back yard. Anyone who agrees with me and knows how to start a class action law suit or some kind of nationwide movement and thinks this is a violation of our right to a quiet peaceful life and feel that neiborhood associations are reminiscent of the Tyrannical Brittish societys of old please add your two cents.
