My daughter moved from one county to another county so she could attend a crash course as a cna. She went to dshs to transfer her case to that county and to request daycare for her three children. They told her they didnt want her to take the cna classes but wanted her to take domestic violence classes instead and if she chose to do the cna they wouldn't help her with daycare.
She immediatly went outside and called me from older daughters cell crying saying they wouldnt let her take the classes and why. I talked to her and older daughter and we decided that between family and friends we could cover the children while she took the classes.
So within 10 minutes or so she went back in and told the cps worker that she would get her cna without their help. And she did. She passed her test at the top of her class, and she was the only person hired out of the class to work there.
But they started harrassing her constantly even calling her at work, which the worker denied but coworkers verify that they did indeed call her at work. Anyway in between tests My daughter called me and they threatened to come back with a court order to take her kids if she didn't sign one of her statements. So I was on the bus the same day and there the next day around Thanksgiving 2003. Signed a bunch of papers so I could have access to the info they were trying to make my daughter sign etc. During this time my daughter gave up her job because cps was putting so much pressure on her. And signed a statement while I was there.
I had to leave a few days later and talked to the cps worker on thurs. Before I left and she assured me that she would take care of my daughter and grandbabies also assured me that she would get my daughter to all drs appt and ua's etc.By the way my daughter doesnt do drugs or alcohol and I know because untill I left washinton we seen each other a couple times a day. Even cops in our area would testify to that.
I left on Friday and by the time I made it to Bend Ore., which halfway and I rent a motel she calls to say that they took the kids. So much for taking care of my babies. Six months later she lost one of two visitations because she had to go to the emergency room and had to cancel her mon. Visit with the kids. The cps worker went to the er room to confront MY daughter and told her she just lost all monday visits, because she had witnesses that said she was walking around town laughing and chomping gum. She could see that my daughters face was swollen and my daughter showed her dr.'s statements and prescription for medicine, which my daughter couldn't get because when they took her kids they took all benefits including medical.
A few months later they took her second visit which had been on fridays away. She was sent a letter to her apartment that said that friday visits were being changed to wednesdays so she didn't go see the kids that Fri. The cps worker came to her house same day and told her that Because she missed that visit she lost all her visits with her children.
A few days later she went to the post office and got a registered letter from cps that was predated before said visit that specifically said that the friday visit metioned had been canceled and moved to wed. The judge ignored all these things and my daughter hasnt seen the babies in 9mths. Also I called the cps worker in JUne to ask for special permission to visit the kids because I just finished 2 mths of chemo and was due to start radiation along with a permanent chemo pack because I was afraid I might not make it I begged to be allowed to see my grandbabies she refused.
About 2 weeks later is when they took the last visit from my daughter. Also in a letter that was sent to the courts as well as my daughter said I shouldn't be allowed to have the kids because my 3 yr old granddaughter said I picked her and that she was so afraid of her grandmother that the word grandmother put her in a panic. Also the letter said that she could only kiss the children once and that was when they were leaving that she couldnt sit on the floor with them that she couldnt tickle them and that she couldnt bring in outside food unless bought and brought in unsealed. My daughters has always did picnics with the children
all their lives because that what we do as a family, so it made it hard to do anything with them when she did get to see them.By the way I have never been called anything but Nanna or THE NANNA.
I went back after the radiation to try to see them in June but to no avail. I went to the family crisis center which is also a counceling service where they told me that they had at least 8 other families there that had cps"horror stories" NMy daughter got media and ivestigators involved but they wouldn't let the local paper run the story, but the cps superviser out of spokane promised to do an investigation that was at least six months ago and as far as I know none of the families have been talked to and they haven't talked to the crisis center.
They are taking my daughter to court on the 4th of march to take away her parental rights please helps us and if it's too late to help us please investigate anyway there is so many lives at stake here and the families as well as the children need a chmpion. Someone who cares and isn't looking for a buck instead. But there is so many people involved in this could make one heck of a lawsuit. No matter what happens to me and mine I will find ways to fight this unjustice untill the day I die.
