Charges for a service I did not make

My bill this month was 51.75 more than it was suppose to be. I called Verizon to question the charges. The person I spoke to said it was data charges. I had no clue what she was talking about. After several minutes on the phone, the repersentive agreed to give me a 25% discount. I was not happy with that, I hadn't used the phone for anything other than calls and texting. She told me I had used 25 gb and it was really hard to run that up in one day. She still would not take it off my bill. After looking at the date the use of data was used, I had gone into the Verizon store to look at getting a new phone. The repersenitive told me I had a few days to use the phone. If I wasn't happy with it I could return it. The sound quality wasn't good and I did return it. I updated the phone to a Droid. I was told there would be a two hour class on Thursday, two days away, to learn to use the phone. I was told once more I had a few days to try the phone, if I didn't like it I could return it. After I left the store, I tried using the phone. It was impossible I didn't have two days to figure it out. I then decided to return it, same day and get a standard phone. At that time the Verizon repersentive I had worked with earlier became beligerent, even yelling from the back of the store. A few days ago, I received my phone bill. When I called Verizon, the data I had been charged for was was on 7/26/10, the same date I returned the phone. I don't know if it is possible for the rude rep to down load data, possibly to the phone I returned, to be charged to my bill. I only know I didn't down load anything. The amount charged to me isn't a large amount, I feel I have been taken advantage of and would like my money back. Please advise.
