I got a PayPal debit card months ago. I rarely use it, but anyway, I added funds to the card ($400.00) on 11/12. I was sitting watching a movie when my phone started making weird chime noises. I looked, and it said transaction $50.00, then again, then $15.00, then $27.00. I kept repeating stop on my phone, but it didn't work. I got on the phone and reported it, so PayPal and I cancelled my card.
Now I have a card that I had to cancel with about $200.00 left! I fell asleep a little after and woke up today, 11/13, and 3 more transactions took place! All 3 were $28.00. I called them again, and this time they can't give me an answer, they just said they want my ID. For real?
Long story short, I sell on eBay, and PayPal has been holding my funds for 5 days now, $193.00, and they won't release that anytime soon. So now I have a card which is no good with about $120.00 or so left on it, and $193.00 they are holding from my seller account. I put money on that card to pay personal debit, not PayPal/eBay, but things for the house.
They have leaked my info to a third party. One week prior, eBay and PayPal both froze my account because there was fraudulent activity going on. For real, they wanted my ID and proof of address. I gave them that, and 3 days later they lifted the freeze. But what they failed to mention to me was that there were more transactions happening while my account was frozen, which caused an overdraft of -$208.00. Then again, no answer was given.
Do the math: 400.00-280.00= 120.00 on card. Now we deduct $120.00 -$-$280.00=$ minus -$140.00 in the hole. Remember, I started out with $400.00 on my card and PayPal is holding 193.00 = 593.00. I went from $593.00 to -140.00! I want it back now! They told me it could take 45 days to dispute and they can't guarantee my money.
And this all happened when my account was frozen and they leaked personal info. Now my other bills are going to be turned off. I am broke till the 1st, and I am on disability with kids. I'm done! They really messed me over, and I have done everything I can think of. Can anybody help? I don't have time, my bills don't wait. Thanks...
