I was on craigslist and an 2004 Honda was being sold for 1830.00 from email; [email protected] I then replied to the email voicing in interest in the car. I was quickly replied and sent a sob story about how here husband had recently been killed in Iraq and. That he loved the vehicle and was looking to rid the bad memories of it. I would like to stay that I am a real soldier in the US military and recently did redeploy back to the USA, so I was complied to take the offer. She said that the car. Was in great condition, that it had only 99,000 miles on it and she was getting rid of it. But would only make transactions through eBay to protect herself and me from scams. Go figure. This was a plus because If felt Icould trust Ms. Linda so emailed her back and told her I wanted to buy her husbands vehicle. For the total of 1830.00. Her reply was to tell her once Igot the money gram sent so that she could contact Ebay protection agency to confirm the purchase. I was also sent another email giving a TIP to say that the money gram was being sent to a friend, so that Linda Williams could avoid expensive fees from Ebay and money gram, and again I paid the fee of 125.00. I realized it was a scam when I couldnt find the vehicle on Ebay, and that the pst on craigslist was missing. I was sent another email from Ebay Protection asking me to pay for insurance in the total of 1100.00. Again another indication of a scam because the wording wasn't professional so I knew then that I had been scammed. I pray that whoever Linda Williams or Carolyn Mary Hayden are, will be found and convicted. I feel so sad that this has happened to me, It was a smack in the face, I served my country only to be scammed. Again the email on craiglist was [email protected] address 2201 Justin Rd, Flower Mound, Texas and Carolyn Mary Hayden address 154 W 24th St Holland, Michigan 49423. I have all documentation of this, Please dont be decieved like i was, I pray justice will be served or that it doesnt happen to someone else.
