Consumer Report

On Aug. 2 I searched Craigslist.com for a used vehicle. I found a listing for a 2004 Hyundai Elantra for $2200. The email address of the seller was [email protected]. I emailed her my interest in the car. She replied that she had recently moved to Saint Louis, MO and that she had it set up to sell through ebay.com. She said they would email me instructions on how to pay for the car and that the car would be shipped to me. On Aug. 3rd I recieved an email from eBay Motors instructing me to send the money to an ebay transaction agent who would hold the money until I said I was satisfied with the purchase and would then release the funds. I wired the money through Western Union to the address requested. The next day I recieved an email from eBay stating that I should send $1500 for insurance on the car in transit. I then contacted an agent from the resolutioncenter. Ebay.com who just notified me it wasn't their transaction, but a scam. I have kept all of the emails involved in this transaction as well as my Western Union receipt. Is there any possiblity of getting my money back? I am retired and live solely on my social security.
