My son was looking for his 1st car. Searched "Cars Direct" and found a vehicle attractively priced. "Owner" sent email advising that she was Ginger Macdonald, an Army nurse currently depolyed in Iraq and had to sell the car. She said she hired Ebay motors to handle the transaction and to wait for an email from "eBay motors. They actually victimized the real Ginger Macdonald who I learned is a true soldier. These scum have no shame.
Email from "eBay motors" stated to send a Money Gram order to "agent Daniel Greene" of eBay motors at 530 Wells Fargo Drive in Houston TX.
They were salivating at the mouth trying to get my son to send the Money Gram. The usual numerous emails - no verification stuff, no real telephone numbers or website.
I sent the scam emails to eBay. I've sent eBay plenty of scam / spoofs but all I think that they do is yawn at the stuff. I always offer eBay help to assist with investigating and ask them to let me know what the outcome of the spoofs / scams are but never hear back from them. Sad stuff all the way around.
