Eight years ago I lost my cellular in a taxi. The next day I called Telus to advise them the loss of my phone. At that time the salesperson-representative told me I could suspend my service for a fee of $10.00 per month until the end of my contract which would of ended six months later. I agreed to this and thought it would be the end of it.

A few months after what I thought was the end of my committment to Telus, I received a call from them telling me I owed them $300.00, I proceeded to tell them what the salesperson the information he had given me at that time. Of course they tell me that was not the case, and I should pay them or risk credit empeedments, and they would refer me to a collecting agency which they did of course, and since then I have been receing harrassing calls from "CBV COLLECTIONS"

I tried explaining my dilemma to them to no avail, finally they tell me to send them a fax with my reference no "01090701853" and they would refer to their supervisor and the calls would be terminated however, this is not the case.

I receive calls at home and messages left on my voice mail even though I have an unlisted number, and they also call me on my cell which needless to say is not with Telus at least four times a week. I catagorically refuse to pay for a charge I could of settled from the begging after all there was only six months to the contract how much could it have possibly have cost me?
