Like so many other people, we have a model 722 receiver. Dish Network goofed up several months ago, and a software update made the guide nearly unusable. The guide is extremely slow, and sometimes takes a minute or more before it will respond. Unplugging and plugging the receiver fixes the issue, but only for a couple hours. If you're watching television, if you want to use guide, you have to unplug the receiver several times a day.

Jennifer J (N64) in their technical department acknowledge the issue, but stated that there was nothing that could be done other than unplugging the system periodically. She even stated that she has the same system at home, and understands how frustrating the issue is.

To top it off, Dish Network refuses to fix the software issue it introduced, only saying that their engineering department is "working on it". It's been an issue for several months, and it's time the engineering department actually fixed something rather than giving customers saddled with the 722 more excuses.

If you google "Dish Network Slow Guide" you'll find thousands of consumers with the same issue, dating back to June. This issue has gone on long enough, and it's time Dish Network actually fixes it.
