I am sick to my stomach just now realizing my wife and I have been scammed out of nearly $4,000 with UMC and KAT Capital. I used to work for a bank and typically know what to look for in a scam. UMC and KAT Capital really pulled the wool over our eyes. At UMC, we also worked with a Patrick Kojima, and a gal by the name of Diana who USED to return our calls. They started us off with a potential CitiMortgage refi and then said that would not work any more as they "changed the terms of their offer which was no longer attractive". Then they sent us on to a better company that seemed to be doing work with/for them. The company's name is KAT Capital, LLC located in FL. At least KAT Capital returns calls (although they are no more help). After waiting nearly 7 months, we just found out KAT Capital cannot help us either. When we asked them to help us get our money back from UMC, they said we have to take it up with them. Well now we can't get ANY response from anyone at UMC and it makes us sick to our stomach. Any help is VERY MUCH appreciated from anyone else that may have advice or have reached some sort of resolution with UMC. KAT Capital should not just put it all back on the client when they are doing business with a scam company like UMC.
