This has to be the worst service company out there. When we moved into our apartment community, we signed a 2 year contract with Direct TV - apparently for some unknown reason Direct Path did the servicing in our complex. We received the service in May but by June we had to call them for the first time after a bad rainstorm - they DIDN'T COME OUT FOR A WEEK... Then the guy was so late it wasn't funny. They finally got the service back on but refused to give any discount for the WEEK without service. It just went out again last night - after another storm. We'd also signed up with Direct Path for the internet. Unknown to us, the check didn't clear and they canceled us. We just recently received a bill from a collection company - keep in mind - we were only a month late on the service - not six months. They refused to send someone out for the Satellite service until we paid the internet bill. Keep in mind the satellite payment has never been past due. Then when I called and made the payment now someone has to approve the payment before they will even think about setting up an appointment to come and fix the satellite problem. This could take up to two weeks - then they wanted to charge a $65 reconnect fee for some reason. They did relent on it but what a horrible company. They don't work on weekends so if you go out then, tough luck, but what the hey - it takes them a week to set up a service call anyway. I spoke with my leasing office, the girl that works there said they'd had multiple complaints regarding Direct Path and their servicing. She doesn't have cable because she doesn't want to deal with them. They've attempted to find a way to break the contract that was entered prior to their purchase of the facility but can't. So we are all stuck with them - after that I hope they drop Direct Path like a hot potato. I mean who would continue to have service with a company this bad.
