Rated F by BBB, Misses Dressy: 212.203.5052,3724 24th Street, #140, Long Island City 11101 is a company with policies that are designed to mislead consumers. They tell customers that they can return merchandise (dresses) within three days of receiving them in. I returned my dress the day after I received it. They do not tell you until two paragraphs later that they do not issue refunds, they only issue exchange or store credit. They charge $10% of the cost of the dress (in my case upwards of $45) for restocking and $50 to ship a replacement dress. When I returned my dress it cost only 9 dollars. They quickly withdraw your money when you don't get your dresses in time for the events. If you call to cancel a dress that hasn't even shipped, they still charge you for it. I ordered four dresses to try on for one event; any honest business would have called the customer to tell them that you cannot get refunded for the dresses and that they only do exchanges or store credit. The fact that they do not refund customers should be highlighted and visible at the top of their return policy. Customers do not have time to read a five paragraph policy. This I feel is done intentionally to dupe customers into paying for dresses that they will never receive and keep the money in their business while customers struggle to figure out how to get it back. I live about a mile from the business. I called to ask if I could come to the store to try on the dresses to avoid being charged the expensive 10% restocking fees on expensive dresses plus the 50 dollars to have the new item shipped (that can cost 1/3 of a new dress!). They said yes that I can do that, but they are booked for the next six months. Guess when your store credit expires? In six months. What a terrible business. I wish I would have come to the BBB to review them before making a costly mistake. The people who work there are completely inflexible and are downright rude. I have never written a review for a company before but Misses Dressy has me completely flabbergasted, and given the reviews on the BBB and Trustpilot, I am one of many people who have been duped by this company. I just called them again and spoke to Olivia asking if she would kindly refund me for a dress I returned and a dress I never received. She said they make no exceptions.
Misses Dressy should refund me of all my money. They are a sleezy company that takes your money and basically says too bad for you. We have your money and you're not getting it back. I do not want anything to do with such a flagrantly dishonest business. Thank you.
