I applied for an entry level position through career builder. There was not really any further information on the position. I was contacted almost immediately requesting an interview for a management position. We scheduled an interview but I decided to look up the company.
I googled them and one of the first things that popped up was a fake company report. I contacted the corporate company that they said they do marketing for and this company said that they are not affiliated with florida marketing and that all of their marketing and PR. Work is handled in house.
I re contacted Florida Marketing and told them about my findings and my call to the corporate office. Their response was that they do not work with the corporate office but rather with the district managers.
I ask for a web site that I could be directed to to confirm this information and was told that I had already been sent a link to their FACEBOOK page. I told her that wasn't sufficient and was then told that she didn't know the exact web address but she would find out and call me back. I'm still waiting.
Meanwhile I posted a comment on their facebook page stating " I can't find any authentic information on your company and your employees don't even know your web address. What kind of company is this? My comment was deleted within seconds.
