I received a call today regarding my application I sent into Global Advertising for an entry level marketing position. During the call, the young lady asked me if I would like to come into interview and further discuss the position. I asked her a couple questions regarding the position. She was aprehensive to answer any of my questions and told me that I would be able to discuss the position in my interview. She asked me if I could come on Monday. I felt that it was short notice since she was calling me on a Friday afternoon. I told her as early as possible would be best. She gave me 11:00 AM and I told her that I would not be available, so I agreed to the time of 5:00 PM. She said I would receive a confirmation email for the interview.
When I came back from lunch I checked my email. The confirmation email showed my interview was scheduled for Saturday (tomorrow) at 5:00 PM. I felt funny about that because first of all, what kind of place interviews on Saturdays? And secondly, I know she said Monday during the initial call.
I decided to look up the companies website to get some additional information. What I found was that this company goes by several different names and has had numerous complaints file on them. I am thankful for all who have told their story, and I would like to do the same to save someone else's time who may have bought into this scam.
