Global Connect Cloud
Consumer Report

I was first contacted by this group who claimed to be Windows support on 8 Jun '12 to say my computer was deeply infected with many viruses which is why is is operating so slowly. I allowed them access and they showed me all sorts of stuff I didn't understand, but took their word for it and bought their protection (sucker). At first the bank would not pay (via my credit card) so I sent a western Union transfer (AU$314). 2 days later they rang to say that the funds had not been received and I would need to send again. I told them I wouldn't so they provided the "protection" "in good faith".
13 Sep '12 I was contacted again to say that I was having problems with trojans in my computer and they could offer me lifetime protection for AU$280. Once again they showed me a bunch of stuff and made it sound really dangerous. So I got sucked in again. They promised they would not need to contact me again.
On 19 Sep '12 they called me again to say that I was having software problems with my computer that would not allow their protection to take effect. Tried to sell me another "lifetime" protection for a further AU$550. I went off my head. Told them to get lost (in slightly more colourful language). Then did some research. I should have done that before I agreed to any packages they offered.
I removed everything they had installed in my computer. Downloaded PCKeeper and ran a diagnostic. Did the tweeks their tech support recommended and now my computer works faster than ever before.

Beware. Global cloud connect are scammers of the highest order.
