Calls costing $14 that cut off after a second

I have been receiving calls from my son through this company, and the calls cost $14.00. We don't talk but a second before the phone cuts off. I don't have money to give away. I don't have a cordless phone, and I don't make three-way calls. The calls happened between 09/05 and 09/10.
