I ordered a three-month supply of Revolution flea prevention treatment for my cats from TrueNorthPets in Edmonton, Alberta. My credit card was charged immediately.
I had seen a few fleas on the cats, so I called the company's toll-free number to see when I could expect delivery. The number was out of service—first red flag. I went back to the website and found the order number listed under my account, but I never received an email confirmation—second red flag.
I did an online search of the company name, and found several complaints about non-delivery and the phone number being out of service. The same search turned up a Better Business Bureau listing with an F rating; it states that the number was disconnected and that the company is not BBB accredited.
Oddly, TrueNorthPets lists its Facebook and Twitter accounts online, and the website was announced just this past March. I even tweeted the company and mentioned the fraud complaints—no response.
I reported the credit card charge to my bank, which opened a case file and asked me to wait 15 days before requesting that it reverse the charge, in case the products arrived; they did not. My bank issued a refund and will pursue the company to recover the funds. (Good luck.) Don't buy from this company.
