We have Motorists Mutual Insurance for homeowners insurance. We have documentation of hail and wind damage to our roof and siding. These estimates are by reputable roofing and home improvement companies. Motorists Insurance is refusing to replace our roof and siding because the damage is not bad enough. This is not the first time we had to battle them on this problem. At first they said there was no damage. Now they are stating the hail damage on the siding is not large enough dents to be able to make a claim. He said the dents are from acorns on both sides of our siding when we only have a tree on the one side. When I spoke to his boss she said acorn damage is covered because it is due from wind. Then she said there is also hail damage as well. They also said our roof is 20-25 years old and we just want a new roof. Our roof is only 14 1/2 years old. They come out and make false claims and obviously do not know what they are talking about. They ask for estimates and we gave them FOUR different estimates, every company stating the exact same thing. When we delt with them before on this they wanted to pay for half a roof but the shingles are no longer available. There statement was "from the street nobody can see the different colored shingles"...
