Mr. DeBrock came to my door in an effort to ask me about my roof. He said that he could probably get me a new roof without any money out-of-pocket to me because there was hail damage in the area. I had already had a claim with my insurance company. Mr. DeBrock took measurements of my roof and when he was finished wanted to see my insurance claim papers to be able to give me an estimate. I told him I didn't believe he needed my insurance information or detailed claim, to give me a quote and I refused to give them to him. He accepted my refusal and told me it would take about a week to give me an estimate. So, I waited on the estimate. Three weeks later, still no estimate. I have obtained other estimates from roofing companies that did not ask for my insurance claim information (which they should have to have this information to give an estimate). The estimates were given to me that same day. I would beware of this company because it seems that they may be trying to extort money from homeowners from roof damage - well, as much money as they can possible get. I just felt that this practice of asking me for my personal insurance information prior to an estimate, was unethical!!
