Jim Coleman Honda
Consumer Report

AFTER A LONG NIGHT OF WORK I went TO JIM COLEMAN HONDA to get a price quote on a used 2007 Honda Accord and the sales men KUNTA directed me to a 2010 Accord. I explained that I was in the market and JUST looking to get a price quote and that I had other appointments that day to see other dealerships. After a couple of hours with the sales men I was being handed papers to make a deal on a 2010 Accord. I told the salesmen and one of the sales manager that i was only looking for now and would get back to them later. Before I knew it I was being asked to sign papers for the sale of the car at a price that was way above what i was looking for. I told the sales men and the manager that I was tired after working all nite and i needed to sleep and think about the deal of the car that they was trying to give me only to leave the dealership. I asked for my car keys repeatedly from the sales men and after repeated request for my car keys and telling the sales men and manager that I needed my car keys so I can go eat and go home I was refused my cars keys. The sales manager offered to buy me some food and I said I would go eat and be back, but he told me he already had me food ordered and for me to sit down and keep making a deal until the food arrived. After eating a $4.00 meal I was then escorted to the finance dept. Where I was still trying to be forced into buying a car I could not afford. I had sales people coming at me to buy add-on for paint sealant, under coating Ect... I kept saying NO but my words went unheard from the staff. At this point the sales men kunta was no were to be seen for the next 3 hours. I repeatedly asked for my car keys and telling the fiance man that i want to think about the deal before I sign any papers. After hour after hour I kept asking for my car keys but NO KEYS, Again I asked for my car keys and I was told by the fiance man that my car was already taken away by one of the staff to a use car holding lot or something like that along with all my personal belongings in the car in an effort to force me to sign for the car that was being forced onto me. After 51/2 hours of asking for my car keys and begging them to let me go home and get some rest after working all night long finally after 5/12 hours I I told them to give me my keys or I will call the cops to get them for me. After I left the dealership I was called many times from the staff of Jim Coleman Honda and they were saying they were sorry and offered me less money for the car and at one point they offered me the car for a lower price then raised the price again over the phone saying I misunderstood the price and still trying to force me to buy the car. I was even told by the one sales manager that he even brought me a lunch and I backed out of a deal on the car I felt trapped and felt like a prisoner at Jim Coleman Honda that day. I even told them I would pay for the $4.00 luch but they made me feel like i was taking advantage of them, After all I went through I would not buy from Jim Coleman Honda unless the car was given to me. I was forced by the Jim Coleman staff to not to keep other appointment with other dealership that i had made earlier that week and I feel like they were relentless to sell me a car that day no matter at any cost and I feel like i was doomed to buying a car I could not afford. I feel they owe me for the pain and suffering I went through that day. I am still shy at dealing with another dealership to buy a car from, they have opened my eyes as to how cruel they can be just to get you to buy a car there.
