Just wanted to write a follow-up to the resolution process to the problems with Lydia Shoes order.
I filed a complaint online with Paypal using their website yesterday. Today, I received an e-mail from Paypal informing me that they've investigated and "resolved" the case. They sent me the following e-mail: "In response to your claim, the seller has provided proof of shipment indicating that the item was shipped to you. Because the seller was able to provide proof of shipment, we cannot reverse this transaction or issue a refund."
Needless to say, I was disappointed. However, I decided to take one more step and call Paypal directly. You have to go into their website and get a "1-Time Password" and then wait for a long time, while they connect you to the right agent. You need the password to talk to an actual person, so do go through the process.
Once I was able to reach the agent and explain the situation, however, she was very kind and prompt in reversing the charges while I was on the phone. They could not provide direct information about the seller, probably due to confidentiality agreement, but I thought is that there have been enough complaints placed against them by now. I mentioned Scambook and how I found so many others like me, who were swindled as well.
I'm hoping my write-up will encourage whoever has been swindled to go through the trouble of calling Paypal directly. They were very helpful.
