Wolfgang Puck 1.6 Horsepower Commercially Rated Blender Mdl# bcbb0020

I purchased this blender in June for my birthday. I used it almsot daily in ole use for a 2-person home, so it had regular use but was in no way over-used, but from the very beginning I noticed sparks coming from beneath it. I called about this and was told that it was normal on a new machine and would stop once "broken in", so I kept using it, and indeed didn't notice the sparks after a while, but sometimes it would smell like something was burning. This was a machine that actually heated the foods to make soup if left on for several minutes at a time and was meant to withstand that friction, but I found that in the short amount of time it took to make a smoothie in it, it would smell like it was burning something... Hot rubber smell. I moved in April, and when i unpacked it to use for the first time in my new home, the smell was so strong after only a few seconds thqt I turned it off for fear it was going to catch the kitchen on fire, There was no actual fire, jut the small of it, but it was extremely strong. I contacted WP Productions, waited the nearly 30 minutes onhold which I came to know after a while was apparently customary with them, and spoke with someone who basically laughed it off, asking me what the damage was from the fire, and saying that since there was no damage there was nothing she could do. I asked her if she'd like to give me her address and I'd send it to her so that she could set Her kitchen on fire, because that is what was going to happen if i turned it on again and i was unwilling to do that, and with her repeating the same response, I asked for a supervisor, waited anoter 15 minutes to get one, who gave me instructions on how to return the cord and stated that they would immediately replace my base. Keep in mind this was April. A week or so later i received an e-mail acknowledging receipe of the cord end, and stating my part was on backorder. There was no indication of time expected for receipt so I called them. After the customary 30 minute wait, they couldn't estimate a timeframe, but said it was usually 6-8 weeks. Near the end of June, I emailed them, getting no response, so at the end of June i called again. After waiting again, I get someone who at first cannot find my information at all, then once she does acts as if my 6-8 weeks begins today. I ask for a supervisor - wait again - get someone who apologizes profusely, says she will personally check into it and call me within the week. 3 weeks pass, I call again, wait again, this time when they identify me, the girl says "I see you've been approved for a refund on your blender"! Oh, I have? And when were you planning to let me know this? So she tells me its scheduled for mailing that week. Here we are, August 6, and as of today I have still received nothing except a lot of aggravation. The unfortunate part of all this is that I work for a company who sells this man's products every day... How am I supposed to do that in good conscience any more??? I now know firsthand how his customers are treated and it sucks! Wolfgang Puck, you Should be ashamed!
