I was trying to apply for a quick, short term loan on another website (igotfunds.com - watch out for them too!) and since then I was flooded with phone calls and emails. Then I discovered that LoanTree Advances wrote out a check to themselves for $30.00! I never went to their website or applied for a loan. I called there and asked them to refund my money (also called my bank). The girl kept telling me I was pre-approved and if I'm still interested in pursuing the loan. Only after I told her that I'm interested now in pursuing legal action, did she give me a confirmation number for my refund. I don't care about $30.00 but I care that someone has access to my account and is writing checks to themselves. I will be reporting them to a higher authority as well.
