Over a year ago I purchased and had installed a cellular unit for my house alarm system that would allow me not to have to keep a landline phone. I already had ADT as an alarm service and when I contacted them, they said there would not be a problem installing that unit although I had mentioned to them that I had poor service with my Verizon cell phone in that area. The sytem seemed to wrok for one year, Then, in April and May of ADT called me saying that they were not receiving a signal from the unit. I made an appointment for them to come and check the system. No weekends appointments are available for service calls althought the company seems to have no problem doing weekend appointments for installs. My son made a special trip to be a the house for the service call scheduled between 12 and 5 pm. The employee had showed up in the morning. I then made another appointment and as I was checking on that appointment the evening before and had already driven 180 miles to get to the residence, I was told that althought the appointment had been put as a commitment for some inexplicable reason, it was never put on the calendar and so I had no appointment. I then had to make a third appointment and on that third appointment was told that I had to disgard the cellular unit and go back to a landline system. At that point, my phone call to the Fresno area number given to me by ADT central was never returned. I only got someone to seem to want to help when I called to cancel my service. But I was told that I would be reimbursed for any amount unless I stayed with ADT. I have no desire to stay with ADT, I just would like a just resolution to this and a reimbursement of the two months service that were never given and a part of the cost of the system that was installed. I sincerely hope that a fair resolution to this complaint can be achieved.
