Buypuppies also known as purebreeders. I am a breeder that sells on this website. I thought I would put my input on this website. I have had great experience so far except for a few things. First off if the buyer wants to speak to the breeder there is a rep on the other end. We first talk to the rep which informs us that we cannot talk about pricing, nor say the word "kennel". So some of us are forced to lie were our dogs are located. Their pricing is outrageous, i price my puppy at 500 300 shipping (which pays for vet check, health cert. Flight, crate and gas). They rack it up to 1295 THEN after you decide to purchase that puppy its another 200$ for shipping it says, even though we already included that into the price. Then there is my sister in laws case... She is being sued from them. She sold a teacup yorkie on there and the buyer supposly claimed that the puppy was grossly underweight, sick and had flaky skin. The vet report she got sent did not have a date, nor the weight of the puppy on their. Remember we have to get a FECAL AND HEALTH CHECK before shipping puppy. Which is a check of everything including a rectal temp. So the buyer claimed she wanted her money back and she said ok but you have to send the puppy back, (thats in our contract as a breeder). Or we are responsible for vet bills up to but no more then the purchase price we were giving. So that was it for a couple months never heard a word. Now she is being sued by buypuppies. She doesnt have any contact with the owner everything was through buypupies so for all she knows this could be a scam.in order to fight this she has to get a lawyer from FLorida since that is where their business is. Their lemon law states if someone says their dog is sick they believe them... Breeder is screwed. So in her letter its 675$ to be paid in 30 days or 2100 after that. So although her vet checked cleared, the puppy was 14 weeks old (clearly old enough), she has no documentation on vet bills, they arnt honoring any of that? Whats the point in getting health certs and fecals if they dont hold up? Sounds dirty to me! Oh and yes there is puppy mills that sell on here. You can normally tell them by their pictures. Dont buy a dog that looks scared or dirty! They just came out with a local rep that has to "interview" the breeder and puppies so maybe that will cut back on the puppy mills.
