GlobalConnectCloud
Consumer Report

On the 16th I received a popup message stating I was broadcasting spam messages that contained an imbedded trojan download in its message. They offered to check my system and I stupidly allowed them to run their scan. All of a sudden, my microsoft id was invalid and I had to pay $39.00 to have them recover it and clean my system. Again, yes, I allowed them to go forward. I got suspecious when they started calling wanting to get back on my system to see if I had additional problems. I denied them access and started investigating them and found out they were a scam company.

I contacted the real MicroSoft and they helped me recover my system and MS ID. They also found a trojan installed by Globalconnectcloud. They cleaned it up.

Global connect continued to call me daily until I'd finally had enough and dove head long into a screaming match with them that went on for approximately 4 hours. They finally gave in and stated they won't attempt to contact me again.

I'll see if they stick to their promise. My feeling is, they will again attempt to contact me. If you receive a popup from them stating that you are spamming trojans, shut them down immediately and notify the FCC fraud unit.
