Terrible customer service

Spent a total of one hour talking to several people at a call center to NO AVAIL. One hour that I won't get back because Expedia had to relocate their customer service abroad, and didn't even bother having an online service to change tickets.

When I finally managed to get them to change my return flight, I had to repeat my card number 5 times for them to understand.
Since when does globalization come at the cost of customer service and efficiency? Good businesses should know to think beyond the simple paradigm of cost/revenue.
