Orbitz a very unfriendly customer service company - Great Wolf Lodge Mason Ohio

I searched for discounted rates and found a site that compared 4 different online discount companies. During the search Orbitz provided the cheapest rate for 8 people staying at the Great Wolf Lodge Mason Ohio. The rate for them was $290 vs. $330 on the other 3 sites. When I clicked the room to start the booking process it automatically went up to $330. I called customer service because I felt this was a very shady process since I had clicked on the site price the had given me. I was given a generic reason that the prices change constantly. I decided to go with Orbitz even though I didnt like the reason they gave because all other sites were $330 as well. Apparently the site changed my amount of people from 8 to 1. When calling today to make sure they knew it was correct they sent me back to Orbitz. I then find out that they room they booked had maximum of 6 people, even though I clearly stated 8 in my search options. Its now Thursday. We were leaving on Saturday! The resort is completely booked and it could be 5 business days before I receive the $381.25 back on my card. Not to mention, when I called customer service the first time the customer service rep after having me on hold disconnected me. When calling back, they apparently dont keep notes because I had to go through the entire story again with the next rep who wouldnt transfer me back to the other lady. The 2nd rep repeated 3 times the ages of the children (14,10, 2 5 yr olds, and a 2 year old). One time repeating that the child is 25 instead of 2 5 year olds. Lastly, the last person I spoke to was supposed to be supervisor after holding 10 minutes. He knew nothing of the situation and I had to go over it for a 3rd time. He then was very rude and I at this point was not nice back. He told me there would be a cancellation fee after the 2nd girl said no.in my opinion if you have an upset person on the phone you get all the information before passing off to a supervisor. If it was a supervisor. What a horrible company to book with. I will stick with Priceline or Travelocity in the future, both of whom I never had a problem!!!
