Purchased three rooms of furniture less than 3 yrs ago. A Family Room leather couch, matching reclyner, faux marble coffee and end table; marble top pub table with two benches and two additional stools and a bedroom set.
ALL but the bedroom set has had issues! The leather furniture was in a chocolate brown. ANYWHERE someone has spent time sitting is faded, the area around the cushions are cracking (this part is not leather). The leather parts are faded in areas BADLY. Almost all the pigment is gone. The pub table which appears has some type of top sealer coat shows water marks, cloudyness and scratches (WE HARDLY USE IT!)
Bought the extended warrant and Ashley sent out a customer service rep and although he appeared to agree with us that the issues on our leather furniture are not adequate, Ashley refuses to do ANYTHING. Said it is normal wear and tear and perhaps we have not taken care of our furniture!
Have purchased two leather living room sets previously in my life. One cheaper set, mid range and a custom leather sectional. NEVER experienced these issues.in fact, the last set I gave to my oldest son who is in college. It is a black leather couch and chair which is now close to 15 years old. Even with a college age boy utilizing the furniture, it is NOT FADED OR CRACKED yet! (Wonder if he will trade with me??? Ha!)
I will never buy from ashley furniture again and unless you plan on replacing your furniture every two to three years, i would recommend not wasting your money either!
Ashley furniture is crap furniture.
