I was approached 2 years ago on June 24 by a girl named Tiffany about buying magazine subscriptions for points for school. After hesitating, I bought 2 subscriptions and got 1 for free. The total was $75 which included a $20 processin fee.
Later that evening I felt insecure about ordering so I read the receipts and found that I could cancel within 3 business day. Reciepts are: D160597 & D160598. I immediately sent the form in the next day. My check was cashed a week later on July 1 and I recieved a letter that was not dated, however it was in October from SUP stating that I had to "simply" send a copy of the cancelled check for a full refund of $75. I did this on October 18. I have yet to recieve my refund or any magazines. I don't even want the magazines.
I know waiting 2 years was probably dumb, but I kept waiting. I just emailed them today July 21 and gave them a week to settle this matter or I am going to contact Ky State Attorney General.
I think it's funny that when I did an internet search for SUP this was the first site that came up. I'm glad to see it. If there are any lawsuits I would like to know about them. I know $75 is not a lot of money to some, but for a 1 income family it is.
A couple of weeks ago, I was approached by a young man about the same thing for points. I don't remember if that was what Tiffany was doing but I told this man that I do not buy anything from solicitors. I wish now that I would have listened to his salespitch and found out if this was the same company. Maybe I could have busted him then and there.
