Consumer fraud: I live in Indiana but the company is in both Mesa, AZ and Phoenix, AZ - can you help?
In July-August I invested $499 to get 6 websites, and $8,000 to "advertise" so that people would log in to my websites and make purchases.
This company (Higher Impact) hasn't done anything they promised. I contacted my Visa card - they called it a dispute and initially credited me back for the two purchases - then after the fraudulent company replied to my charges (LIED) Visa let the fraudulent company get that amount back.
I want to know if I can work with a consumer advocacy group to get the $8,500 back, or do I need to get an attorney? There are a lot of examples of this fraudulent company, over and over again, on the internet - Rated "F" by BBB.
When I complained about how Visa handled it, *their word against mine" the Visa credit card representative said her company was not a bank and that I should get a consumer advocate - very sarcastic & short. Of course it was not HER MONEY.
This is, of course, a short version of the problem. I want to get my money back, and also want to put them out of business.
What do you advise?
