While Im sure they are probably working within the law, they are trying to mislead you.
They send you a well worded letter stating you are guaranteed approval for a consumer first "Platnum Card".
Most people assume that a Platinum card is a visa or mastercard as thats what it's become associated with.
They go on to tell you that, "You may use your platinum card immediately upon receipt for all purchases from (CREDIT PROVIDER READ: CONSUMER FIRST).
This is NOT a credit card, but rather a line of credit for the products that they sell.
I would dump this in the dust bin if I were you. It took me a couple re reads to finally realize that it was not a visa or mastercard.
I truly believe that this company worded their letter in this manner to defraud the consumer. They should be prosecuted, but again Im not an attorney, so for all I know because they never mention "Visa, or Mastercard" they may well be within the law.
But dont be fooled, it is *NOT* a credit card but rather a line of credit to purchase goods from Consumer First only!
