Terrible Customer Service. Lost money thanks to them - National Fitness (Ladies Premier Fitness)

I have been trying to cancel my membership for over a month now. First, they just said send it two forms of address proof (you have to move 30 miles away to get out of the contract). I sent in my Driver's License and my Renter's Insurance bill. That wasn't proof enough. So, then I was told I had to send in a bank or credit card statement, which I did. I called to verify they received it, and I asked to make sure I wouldn't be charged for another month, which they assured me I wouldn't. Today I get a call saying they received everything, but the credit card statement which was attatched to the message. Therefore, they told me they did charge me again, and that they could no way reverse the charge because they can't backdate it or prove my new address. I am, needless to say, infuriated. They wouldn't even offer any kind of solution for me.
