I do not want this to be make public because I am afraid of further retaliation.
I received a email that was forwarded to me by one of my associates regarding a Job Announcement. I responded to this job announcement which asked me to send my resume. I forwarded cover letter and resume. After sending my resume with my personal email address, home address and telephone number, which was my first mistake, I sent a following email asking questions about this particular company—‘* *‘. I was a little concern because I could not locate this company on Google, Facebook or Internet. This company was reported to Scambook and now two (so called) employees are sending me threading emails. My resume was sent in confidence and now these employees are publicly posting my personal email address and full name on Scambook website. I am being called a liar, my professional character degraded and they stated they are going to use my personal information on my resume to contact prior employers to disclose what a horrible person I am. The email was original sent to me by a neighboring church, these people have now contacted the Pastor of the church with these same degrading remarks and comments. I am totally embarrassed by these comments, humiliated, I feel threaten and am worried about my safety.
What steps can I take to protect my personal information from continuing to being post publicly? How can I stop these people? What can I do legally? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
