As far as I know, what they do is not illegal, but it's completely unethical. They advertised an excellent price on a camera I want. I placed my order on line. They sent an e-mail asking me to "call to confirm my order" (?!). I called and they tried to sell me "high capacity" batteries, memory cards, and other things I don't want. I said no thanks and then waited for six weeks. When I called to check the status of the order they gave me some line about this camera being 'limited production' at Panasonic (Lumix FZ-47, lots of other companies have them in stock) and they were 'back ordered'. It was obvious they were not going to ship me a camera unless I bought some accessories at inflated prices, and I bet it would have been a 'gray market' camera if they ever did ship it, so I cancelled the order. My advice is to stick with more reputable dealers (I ordered from Amazon and it shipped the next day).
