Checked prices online for a Canon S5 IS digital camera, Photo Dynasty had the best price and claimed to be a 5-star certified merchant. Ordered the camera online (supposed to be in-stock) on 06/06/08, got an email with the confirmation number and that the camera would be delivered to my address within 2-10 business days.
I receive a call on 06/09 from Victor and this led to a hard sell for a bunch of accessories (batteries, memory card, extended warranty), seemed over priced, person on the phone was pushy and rude. I chose not to order the accessories and was told I could cancel the order if I did not want to wait for my camera for 6-8 weeks. I then received an email from Victor at Photo Dynasty on 06/09 indicating that the camera was on back order, and will be in stock within 6-8 weeks.
Photo Dynasty's business practice is to advertise a very low price, do a hard sell on additional accessories, then fail to ship if you don't order the added merchandise.
I want the camera as purchased "New Canon S5 IS"and delivered as said in 2-10 business days.
