We had thought about selling our timeshare and with the timing being just right CondoTrader miraculously called. They promised to advertise our timeshare on their website, their radio program they have big shows where they show the ads to big comapnies that go to trade shows and they would easily be able to at least rent it out and told us they would help us price it just right for a quick sale or rent. They even told us that they would send us a $500.00 gas card.
I called them about 6 weeks after they took our money and there had been no hits on our timeshare. I asked about the gas card and they said they never received our signed contract and as soon as they received the signed contract they would send us the gas card. They sent us a contract which we signed and returned in January. A few weeks later we had not received the gas card so I called them again.
I called in March and spoke to Jamie, she said she needed to call Millenium, the gas card company, and she would call me back on Friday. She did not call me on Friday or any other day.
On March 23 I called and spoke to Denise. She called Nat at Millenium and she would call me in a couple of weeks. No call ever came. September 24 I spoke to Denise again. She was not able to produce a gas card because Millenium went out of business but CondoTrader would advertise us for 2 more months on the front page of their web site. I said I still wanted the gas card and I didn't care if it came from Millenium or somewhere else.
The icing on the cake was on February 25 I called and talked to a male representative.
I believe his name was Carl. He told me that Millenium went out of business and so to speak "took their money and ran" (how ironic.) He was laughing and told me I would have to call and deal with Millenium myself as they reneged on their deal with CondoTrader. I said: No, You may have had a deal with Millenium, My deal is with you guys.
He was extremely aggravating and I told him that he was very irritating and I would like to speak to his superior. He said, Honey, I'm the supervisor in charge. I asked for a manager he said there was no one above him. I told him I didn't appreciate his laughter and I would call back when someone with some intelligence was there to speak to me. Further attempts to contact them resulted in a busy signal.
Bottom line is don't trust them, you'll never sell or rent your timeshare nor will you ever get the promised gift (gas card). Oh yeah, they did withdraw the money before I signed that contract.
