Checked our reservations online at Continental Airlines. Continental had a message in red stating that our itinerary had changed (for the third time!) and to contact 800-523-3273 immediately to confirm the changes. Somehow the call got hijacked to this Assist 123. They knew I was trying to reach Continental, even pretended they would transfer me to their reservations specialist once they finished awarding me my reward gift card. At first I thought they were contracted out by Continental because they had the same answering service format most airlines have. They told me I'd earned a $100.00 gift card for Target for my troubles with Continental. They needed a credit card number to charge shipping and handling fees for the gift card. Naturally, I assumed the offer was some sort of customer service perk from Continental to make up for the time-consuming inconveniences they'd incurred on us over the past two months. Boy was I wrong! I have since canceled the card. There was a charge for $3.95 from a company called "Search Now", not Assist 123...
