I came across xdating when surfing on another dating site some where along the line. It may have been a CL ad because I will read the prostitute ads over there just to get a laugh. I am appalled at how the government (and CraigsList) allows prostitution to exist. XDating.com offered a free profile so I completed the information but did not upload a picture. Low & behold I immediately started to receive messages from woman with sexually explicit profile descriptions & sexy naked pictures without even posting a picture of my own. I also noted each of these women were viewing me immediately after I viewed them. (Hmmm..???). Yet I continued. They have an "I Like You" button on each users profile under their picture. Right from the 1st day I had 3 or 4 women "Like" me. But then each time I would try to connect with them after they said they "Liked Me" I never received a response. Hmmmm... Now my radar was up. I felt I had to pay the subscription to find out if this site was a scam or not.
I clicked on to pay the 1 month subscription of $29.95. After signing up I noted I was charged the 3 month option at the discounted rate of $19.95/month for a total of $59.85. That was the moment I felt I was being scammed. I went to email my complaint I was "over charged" becasue I only wanted to risk the $29.95 1 month subscription in fear this was a scam. But when I realized the website was controlled by a foreign company I realized it would have been a waste of time so I moved on to now prove to myself if this site was a scam or not.
Well that is exactly what I discovered.
I decided to create an alias profile posing as a woman. I didn't receive not one view or any activity at all on that profile! Yet within a 24-48 hours I noticed my alias profile was automatically made a premium member??? (which notates I have a paid subscription). I then looked at my male profile and noted numerous woman were Premium members. I looked at the men's profiles from my female account but noted I was one of very few men who were premium members.
Once I paid for my "3 month" subscription" I added an attractive picture of myself with a big smile which I get compliments on ALL THE TIME. I'm not a bad looking man. Quite frankly I get many views on the POF.com dating site due to my profile pictures and frequently get complimented and in response have many conversations & consequently result in having dates to meet various women in a public. My profile description I typed was in line with the vibe of xdating. I also edited it several times to appeal to different levels of women. My description was somewhat provocative yet not out of line or disgusting at all by any means. As a matter of fact I'd have to say it was middle of the road laced with obvious sincerity stating what I was interested in meeting and what the person could expect in return.
Well, no sooner did I pay my $60 the activity dropped as if my profile wasn't even visible on the site!
This is the first site in several years I allowed myself to pay for a dating site because I was finding on most sites exactly what I found here on xdating similar to what I described above.iniial activity before paying the subscription and then once I paid a subscription the activity dropped off to absolutely nothing! Ever since I joined POF in 2008 I refused to pay for another dating site because POF was the first dating site I engaged on where I experienced it was truly a free dating site and I actually was meeting real women and having real conversations.
I want my money back from xdating.com and more importantly I want xDating to be investigated by authorities for fraud.
