Trying to help the ex wife buy a house. She gets pre-approved by Quicken Loan and takes the classes so she can become a home buyer. Goes and looks at houses, around 20 or 30. While doing all this, keeps in touch with one guy at Quicken. Sends all the info and asks if everything looks good. Gets transferred to a new guy and sends in more info and explains that she gets child support from me. Asks if that is a problem. Gets transferred to another guy and girl. They ask for same info again. She explains she sent all those papers and info already. Likes a house and puts a bid on it. I give her money for the bid. Quicken asks for info about where i got the money from. She sends copies of bank statements of my bank. She gets home inspection, which i paid cash for it, the home needs repairs but she needs to get an appraisal because it's a FHA loan. I give her money for that too. One week before closing, Quicken needs a paper trail of the money in child support i've been giving her. There's no paper trail. We didn't know she had to show it in paper. She kept asking if that was gonna be a problem and was told it was ok. Her bid, after months of looking, has been terminated. Not one of them thought if we could have done the child support through the bank with a check there would have been a paper trail by now. She is furious but her realtor found a new bank and the first thing the lady told her was to get child support payments into the system.
