It started like a nightmare, I searched websites to look for ticket to Nigeria, and this fraudstars looked to me as real, I called them, it was this popular Jason that answered my phone. He promissed to reserve Arik Airline seat for me for £420.00 if only I can make a deposit of £100.00 before 5.00pm same day. I was unconvinced about the fare, so I refused to pay. Since then and on, Jason started with incessant calls on my mobile phone both days and nights. To avoid this embarrassing calls, I decided to go further with the discussion. Jason later gave me a promotional offer with same Arik for £400.00 and advised me for a down payment of £100.00 to be able to reserve the seat, while the balance could be paid either on instalments or one-off payment before my departure date. I made online banking payment of £100.00 to their Barclays Account. Jason reluntanctly gave me an invoice for this deposit. Few day later, I called Jason with the intention to make the final payment, to my surprise, he said, the offer is no longer available. I said, ok, refund my deposit, Jason said, this is not possible. He claimed that, it is the Arik Airlines that is responsible for the collection of all deposits. I demanded for the initial booking reference from Arik Airlines. Jason said, he could not find it in his computer system. Since then, I had been the one calling Jason. He advised that my deposit will be adjusted from future booking. I told him, I do not have intention to travel in the nearest future. I told him to find me a ticket now or refund my deposit. Jason now went ahead to give me ridiculous qoutes to make up my £100.00 deposit. That is, while other agencies
. Were selling between £490-£520 for Arik, he was asking me for £661.00. When my call to this company was too much, Jason now told me that, he had an offer for me for £525.00 on the condition that 50% of my deposit will be adjusted from the fare and the balance will be adjusted in the future booking. I persistently appeal to him to adjust the full deposit, he said, this was not possible. I asked for Emaan Travel registered office address from him, just to confirm what I got from the internet, he said, the company operates from no adrress.
I think, it is time for government agencies to act and protect the vulnerable public from this dupe, "a stitch in time will save nine". I became convinced about this company's criminal activities, when I was searching for the companys address and I came across long list of public complaints about same Emaan Travel
