Scam! Scam! Scam!!! Please be warned all africans. Emaan travels is one of the big time fraudsters in united kingdom as a whole. My niece booked her flight with emaan travels who made her to believed that they are representing arik air as their ticket seller representative. But it's all faults because they conned her into paying her fare by internet banking transfer as emaan travels declined to be paid with her visa card. After three days, emaan staff by name max called her and inform her that the promotion in which her ticket was sold on have ended therefore, she have must pay extra £95.00. As a student my niece argued but finally pay the £95.00. After all her payments, she kept calling emaan travels office demanding for her e-ticket. Each time she called another staff will instruct her to call back later because mr max is busy. This continued for almost a week until one day max called her saying that if she still want to travel she have to pay extra £200.00. This time my niece declined and requested for refund. Out of £475.00 she paid, only £35.00 was refunded to her after numerous phone calls and e-mails to arik air office in lagos nigeria.
On my digging around i was able to find out that emaan travels have their booking office somewhere else in east london, while the number in their internet site is just a call centre.
I have called emaan travels and promise them that i will not rest until trading standard, consumer direct etc. Assist my niece to obtain her refund in full.
