I was scammed by this company too. I signed a contract that I was told would be an easy contract to get out of when I moved back home after one year, according to Gold’s Gym in NC, come to find out, I am being charged $941.74. I told them of my moving to a location where there wasn’t a Gold’s Gym for miles away, permitting me ability to end my contract according to the Gold’s Gym associate and after contacting Gold’s, they told me I had to deal with National Fitness and send them proof of address change. So I did I faxed my new lease agreement, a note to end contract, along with my identification, which I called to verify they had and the lady was able to “see” it after many resends and dealing with her unhelpful attitude. Come to find out down the road, they just kept on billing my bank. So I put a stop payment out and that stopped them from hitting my bank. They recently emailed me saying I owe $941.00 for the rest of my contract that I was under. So I called them immediately, and the lady I had to speak to was so ignorant, and rude and incompetent. She wanted to argue with me, when I was simply calling to clear up, what I was being charged, knowing they had received my info months earlier. Her exact words were “we don’t have any of your information that you moved and I don’t see any faxes from you.” I asked to speak with someone else or for them to look for my faxes again, which I waited over the phone for confirmation they had been received that day, and it was a complete “No they can’t just do that and it was probably to light for them to see..”blah blah and I could only deal with her. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and they are still billing me monthly because I Refuse to pay them when I moved 8 months ago! SCAMMERS will never do business with Gold’s Gym/National Fitness again. Wish I never Had and plan to make everyone aware of their scams.
